Objectives

Getoil S.r.l., active in the energy and marine refuelling sector, embarked on a structured journey to implement an ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy, with the aim of:

  • Aligning with sustainability regulations and best practices.

  • Reducing the environmental impact of its operations.

  • Strengthening its position as a responsible leader in the maritime industry’s energy transition.

  • Enhancing governance and employee wellbeing through internal social programmes.

 

Strategy and Implementation

In collaboration with World Funk Pictures, Getoil launched an ESG programme built around three main pillars:

1. ESG Analysis and Communication

  • Collection and management of ESG data across the value chain.

  • Materiality analysis and definition of non-financial KPIs.

  • ESG reporting with direct involvement from senior management.

2. Environmental Impact Reduction

  • Full management of CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) and SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) activities.

  • Drafting responses to ESG questionnaires.

  • Integration with ISO 14001 certification processes to ensure coherence and accelerate environmental goals.

3. Social Impact and Governance

  • Qualitative assessment of social risks and opportunities.

  • Development of welfare policies, programmes, and targets.

  • Organisational climate analysis and KPI-based monitoring.

  • Training sessions for management and staff.

  • Activation of social panels to encourage active listening and engagement.

 

Results and Impact
  • Strengthened Governance: establishment of an active ESG Committee including senior leadership.

  • Strategic Communication: improved online positioning and increased visibility.
