Stakeholder Engagement

Stakeholder Engagement

ESG Stakeholder Engagement is the process of actively involving stakeholders (such as investors, employees, customers, suppliers, local communities and institutions) in a company's sustainability activities, with the aim of gathering feedback, building trust and improving the ESG strategy.

Its main components are:

1. Stakeholder Identification: map the most relevant stakeholders for the company, considering their interest and the impact they can have on ESG activities.

2. Set Engagement Goals: set clear goals for engagement, such as gathering feedback , identifying ESG risks, or building partnerships for sustainability projects.

3. Communication Channels: use various tools and channels, such as surveys, interviews, workshops, and digital platforms, to gather input and maintain an ongoing dialogue.

4. Materiality and Prioritization: engage stakeholders in the materiality assessment to identify the most relevant and priority ESG issues for the company and its partners.

5. Transparency and Reporting: transparently communicate the progress and challenges of the ESG strategy, through periodic reports and updates that meet stakeholder expectations.

6. Continuous Monitoring and Feedback: create mechanisms to continuously collect feedback, assess stakeholder satisfaction, and adapt ESG strategy accordingly.

Effective stakeholder engagement not only better aligns corporate strategy with the interests of all parties involved, but also reduces reputational risks and helps build a culture of sustainability and shared responsibility.
